The second TAS-S Researchers’ workshop took place at Cranfield University on the 31st March and 1st April 2022. This prove to be an excellent opportunity for our researchers and PhD students to get together again and also meet with Co-Is from Cranfield.
The workshop opened with an informal networking session, giving our researchers valuable space to discuss their latest research and possible avenues for collaboration. Prof. Gokhan Inalhan then gave a presentation about the develop of the site and facilities over the past 80 years from a 1940s RAF base to a modern university. That afternoon, we had tours of some of the impressive testbeds at Cranfield including Digital Aviation Research and Technology Centre (DARTeC Centre) and The Multi User Environment for Autonomous Vehicle Innovation (MUEAVI).
After a lovely group dinner that evening, the researchers continued their discussions over coffee in London before making their way home.
The next Researchers’ workshop will take place in July.
